What if space-time is finite, but nothing exists without being observed. I think consciousness which does the observing is infinite therefore you have a paradox of the infinite observing the finite which defies logic...or something!

I too am a layman, but doesn't gravitational lensing of deep space objects greatly point in the direction of dark matter? Isn't the amount of lensing observed absolutely say there is missing matter between here and threr? JMHO

Any you guys read the proposal coming out of Chapel Hill about a fresh model on the Cyclic Universe? Supposedly a good theory on how the Universe will have a lot of separate "Big Crunches" just before the "Big Rip" I just glanced over it. I'll read it in depth later today. GB
