Graduate Accelerating universe - details and dispute
"accelerating" universe - details and dispute I recently sent an email to several physics professors at CalTech and MIT with a question I have about Cosmology and only one professor (Walter Lewin) replied simply saying good luck! Its not so much of a question as it is a problem. I've talked to... -

Graduate Deriving Gravitational Constant G: Pi, r, \epsilon & k Explained
ok, but in the equation F=G*(m1*m2)/(r^2) I know the r^2 isn't just there for no reason. Its a coulombic force so the r^2 comes from 4*pi*(r^2). There is a geometric meaning. You could easily write G as x/(4*pi*epsilon0) which is the same as x*k (where k= 1/4*pi*e0) or x*(Boltzmann constant) in...- gth759k

Graduate Deriving Gravitational Constant G: Pi, r, \epsilon & k Explained
I'm just trying to find how to derive the gravitational constant G. In other words what is G in terms of pi, r, \epsilon, etc. And how does it relate to k, the permittivity of free space. Like in: Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.- gth759k
