Graduate What Determines the Direction of Acoustic Radiation Force?
Hi, I would look up Iso acoustic focussing of particles, this would make this concept easier. Basically the movement of a particle in a microchannel will either be positive (inwards to the centre) or negative (outwards to the sides). This depends on both the compressibility and density of the...- hamilton17

Undergrad Ultrasonic Cavitation: Can I Produce Acoustic Cavitation?
I was wondering of there was a way to apply the ultrasound without submerging in the liquid, i.e positioning transducers very close to the liquid surface. Would this be possible?- hamilton17

Undergrad Ultrasonic Cavitation: Can I Produce Acoustic Cavitation?
Hi, I was wondering whether I could practically produce ultrasound capable of producing acoustic cavitation. I tried an arduino module at 40kHz, but this did bot work, would a higher frequency work? If so, is there a practical way of achieving this? Thanks in advance.- hamilton17

Undergrad Removing Gas Bubbles from Liquid Without Contact
I am doing an experiment in which I have to remove gas bubbles within a liquid medium. The liquid is contained within a small plastic mould of about 2cm diameter. The conditions of the experiment cannot be changed. My question is, can I practically remove the bubbles. I cannot stir the...- hamilton17
