Ok, so since I've gotten my own apartment I've gained a significant amount of weight. That's how it feels to me, at least. I've gained 5kg of what I presume is fat, though admittedly 80kg isn't so bad with my length (I'm 185cm). That being said, a significant amount of belly fat is never good...

Oops. Everyone was talking about semesters, so I accidentally mixed them up. These are the first two semesters, starting this summer. The first semester includes both my summer and fall schedule.

I don't think so. This would, after all, set a horrible precedent, and it's quite pragmatic to keep this in mind.

I agree that there's a strong correlation, which could perhaps be lessened if people drunk just as much alcohol but were raised in different ways. I was just being pedantic. :wink:

To be fair, vandalism isn't only caused by alcohol, per se. When I'm drunk, I don't start breaking things.

I tend to think that the media is at least partially to blame for this. We hear a lot of more in the media about parents abusing their children, so this has become somewhat of the 'default'. Of course, it's horrible when parents abuse their children, and I don't mean to make it sound like that's...

Also, to add to what R.P.F. said, you're not responsible for what happens to your colleague, whereas a parent has total responsibility for their young child.
