Limitations of Young's double slit experiment

I understand that there are other IV's that could have been tested, such as light intensity, wavelength etc... but what is wrong with specifically the experiment I did? The independent variable was the slit distance between the two slits

Limitations of Young's double slit experiment

Homework Statement From a procedure standpoint, our experiment consisted of a laser pointer on a retort stand with a holder, shining through a piece of sheet with slit measurements (I believe it's acetate) and measuring the height of the maxima on a whiteboard. What could be improved with this...

B Slit Distance - Young's Double Slit Experiment

I understand Young's Double Slit Experiment, which basically consists of pointing a laser through two slits and seeing the maxima with different brightness, caused by constructive and destructive interference respectively. Through the experiment, I know that increasing the distance between the...

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

What kind of air condition would normal air be? Would it make sense for the concentration of the acid to decay in normal air?

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Yeah, I'm thinking of saying that the concentration of lemons did not decrease until around the 15-20 day mark, as before then since citric acid is fairly stable. The point made about the moist aerobic conditions is interesting - That's probably why the concentration of the acid decreased. I'll...

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Apologies. Thanks for putting up with me, I am not very experienced in these sort of things. I did 3 trials per day, which was 0 days (day of ), 5 days, 10 days ,15 days, 20 days. Here are my results: (All in mols/l) 0 days: 0.35, 0.33, 0.33 5 days: 0.35, 0.33, 0.33 10 days: 0.33, 0.33, 0.33...

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Also, is there a generally accepted value for the concentration of citric acid in lemon juice? I've seen multiple sources say different things.

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

I also tried to look up things such as the citric acid cycle as mentioned earlier in the thread, but alas i can't seem to understand/find much, if you could elaborate a little bit more that would be amazing! Thanks :D

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Alright, at 0 days the highest concentration was 0.35 mol/l , at 25 days it was 0.28 mol/l

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Alright, So now I'm doing the experiment. The values for the first 15 days stay around the same, and after 20, the titration results changed by around 0.5 ml (went up, more naoh used) for each trial. I find this interesting, but yet I still can't describe what's happening, or why it does.

Does Citric acid decompose in a lemon over time?

Hi! So I am thinking of doing a concentration of citric acid in a lemon lab, by titrating it against sodium hydroxide. I want my independent variable to be time, and so i plan to do it over the span of 25 days, in which I think it will be long enough to show some change. I'm just unsure about...
