I'm a current math major and I'm interested pursuing a graduate degree in applied math. My question:
Is it better to take as many pure undergrad math classes (real analysis, abstract algebra, topology, etc.) as possible for preparation? Or should I focus on classes like differential equations...
Three more semesters to go and I've decided to focus on differential equations and analysis. Really interested in physics and engineering too. Pure math is a lot of fun and I would totally pursue that if I wasn't concerned with job prospects/being confined to academia.
Any other math nerds...
