What about in the middle of the ocean? Instead of kicking up dust, I suspect there'd be a huge amount of water flash-boiled and displaced, leading to a huge tsunami. And since 860 gigatons isn't enough to actually cook the Earth's surface (to melting point), how much would be?- iHaveQuestions88
