If there is such thing as the multiverse, each universe would exert a gravitational pull on another, which would cause each universe to expand/stretch. Therefore, this would mean the expansion of our universe is not caused purely by dark energy, but rather other universes as well.

If the multiverse is real, surely the universes would be exerting a gravitational force on each other. Could this cause the universe to expand alongside the force of dark energy?
