Graduate Solve Bethe Formula: Find dE/dx Units for Particle in Material
Thanks, ill use that. The one thing I am not sure of is the delta part of that equation. How do I figure out what to use for delta(beta gamma)?- jbb88

Graduate Solve Bethe Formula: Find dE/dx Units for Particle in Material
Im trying to use the Bethe formula (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bethe_formula) to find dE/dx for a particle through a material, but I am not getting the units to work out. In the part of the formula with (e^2/4PiEpsilon)^2, how should I convert this correctly? Those units are J*m, so can I just...- jbb88

Graduate Solving Delta Ray Problem - N=epsilon(1/E1 - 1/Emax)
Im trying to find the number of delta rays though a material and am having some trouble with the units, can anyone help? The number of delta rays through a material is given by N=epsilon(1/E1 - 1/Emax), where epsilon=[2*Pi*A^2*e^4*ne*x]/[m*c^2], where A is unitless, [ne]=cm^-3, and the...- jbb88

Graduate How to Calculate dE/dx for a Mixture of Gases?
Im trying to figure out how to find the dE/dx for a mixture of gases. I can find how to figure it out for an individual molecule knowing dE/dx for each element, but can't find how to find it for a mixture of two molecules of gases knowing dE/dx for each gas. Is there anywhere I can find the...- jbb88
