Programs Theoretically , how long would it take to get 5 PHD's

This may seem trivial, but I find people to be impressive, rather than their degree(s). A bright mind is such, regardless of the field they chose to immerse their mind in.

Programs Theoretically , how long would it take to get 5 PHD's

5 PhDs would be rather impressive if they were in very different fields, e.g., Physics, Philosophy, Politics, Art History and Music Performance...though one would still be tempted to shake their head in wonder

Programs Can I Be a Math Major? | Get Answers Now!

I think that you need to solidify your weak spots, before even thinking about a math-intensive major. Review all of your exams and try to identify why you missed each problem. If you don't know your foundational maths well, then you will suffer immensely in Calculus.

Schools Average GPA for Engineering Freshman in College?

Here's a heuristic for engineering majors, generalized for all colleges on 4.0 grading scale: 2.0< GPA <3.0 is not competitive for graduate school, but you'll graduate (Cs get degrees!) and will still likely find work* >3.0 is good prospects for graduate school*, competitive for industry* >3.5...

Programs Which Engineering Major Is Best for a Career in Thermal Energy?

Mechanical seems like the best-fit major for your interests.

Should I take grade 12 biology?

Since it's not AP Biology, I'm going to suggest that you avoid the course. You'll likely have to take some life science course in college for GE, so take Bio then...Plus, then it'll only be a semester long experience. Focus on your maths, physics, and chemistry. And, believe it or not, they...

Programs Double Major vs Major & Double Minor

I agree with this. I would pick the major that best-fits your future goals, and then take additional coursework that you find interesting. If you want to go into industry, then, perhaps, a business-related or people-orientated minor would add some value to your resume. Lastly, an...

Is Physics Without Calculus Worth Taking?

The algebra and trigonometry based course will introduce you to vectors, which will be useful to you in the calc-based version, so I'd recommend taking it over the other one. But, you can learn vectors later if you don't care to now. I don't think it really matters all that much.

Programs Which Degree Combination is Optimal for My Future Career?

I would major in Physics, minor in CS, and then go to graduate school for an MS to specialize in what you are enjoying the most. Then, you could choose industry or go on to get a doctorate. At some point you will want to focus; but until then, physics provides a useful and versatile...

    Civil to Mechanical Engineering

I think the paramount concern is for you to find an enjoyable career. If you have not interned at a CE firm or two, then I suggest that you find a placement this summer. I think that you need some practical experience to help you decide if you'll be satisfied with CE or not. You can certainly...

Programs Which engineering degree that makes a difference

I'm completing an engineering program right now too with the possibility of medical school in mind. Personally, I choose CE because I like the breadth of future career options - environmental, water resources, structures, construction, land surveying, geotechnical, planning, development...

    Mechatronics Engineering: Doubts & Solutions

Since you are interested in telecommunications, you might find computer engineering to be more closely aligned to your goals (though not as well as electrical engineering might be). However, interests often change and mechatonics does provides a very broad knowledge base. One could easily...

Is Linear Algebra needed for PDEs?

Here's the full course description: Partial differential equations, separation of variables, orthogonal sets of functions, Sturm-Liouville problems, Fourier series, boundary value problems for the wave equation, heat equation, and Laplace equation; Bessel functions, Legendre polynomials...

Is Linear Algebra needed for PDEs?

Hello, this is my first post! I am interested in studying PDEs (heat/wave equations, etc.). At my university, the only listed prereq. for PDEs is ODEs, which can be taken after Calc II. So, essentially, one could enroll in PDEs without taking Calc III, but I am not sure if that would be...
