I used to tell my Marines that the real definition of 'luck' is when preparation meets opportunity. I think that as long as I prepare (by learning) and try to search for and create opportunities, I can't really go wrong. Wow! Thanks everyone for so many responses! Very interesting... It's the long time between start to finish that concerns me most in regard to earning a decent salary. Perhaps I could focus on getting a government job in the long run so I won't lose 13 years of 'credit' towards a decent...- JJ Reardon
