Graduate Can high air velocity in vacuum system create "freezing" of the pipe?
Hi folks, very simple question, but have not been able to find an answer: Assume a vacuum pump pulls air through a pipe. Also assume that within the pipe run, there is an area with reduced cross section, creating a temporary increase in air velocity. Also assume the air is very moist, and is at...- kaigoss69

Undergrad Graduation of air flow inside a vacuum chamber
Thank you gentlemen for your answers. I think I may not have described this well enough...I am looking to have a pressure and/or air flow gradient within one vacuum chamber, from one side to the other, i.e. low vacuum/airflow on ingoing side, and high vacuum/airflow on outgoing side.- kaigoss69

Undergrad Graduation of air flow inside a vacuum chamber
Hi there. I would like to start saying that I am not an engineer or scientist, and that my knowledge about vacuum and vacuum systems, in general, is limited, and I would like to apologize in advance if I am not describing the problem accurately. The application I am posing this question about...- kaigoss69

Graduate Flow rate of water from thin tubes under high g-force
Hi guys, I was wondering if you could help me with something. I work in the paper industry with what is called a suction roll. The roll has a rotating perforated steel cylinder with a stationary vacuum box on the inside and as the wet paper web travels over the surface of the roll, the vacuum...
