Arduino boards and image processing.
Hrrm, well I've got a fair bit of thinking to do then! I'll have to check out who sells what and plan accordingly. I really do appreciate the input so far, it's saved me from just leaving yet another project to gather dust with all the other things I've tried to do :-p- Kalibr

Arduino boards and image processing.
Wow, reading that reply made my head spin haha. I like the idea of connecting them both to a hub, it doesn't exactly fit with what I envisioned but most of this is me learning as I go I reckon it's best not to make it too difficult for myself. Thanks for the input, it's nice to know what I...- Kalibr

Arduino boards and image processing.
Okay, so my first essay was swallowed by some impromptu logging out, so I'll be shorter and sweeter this time. I want to make a robot that accepts commands from a computer via USB. It will tell the robot basic commands like "next" and "back" with the bot figuring out what motors to move for...- Kalibr

Graduate Thought experiment: Orbiting bodies close to C
Thanks, that really cleared it up for me. And here I was thinking I'd found a loophole in relativity :-p- Kalibr

Graduate Thought experiment: Orbiting bodies close to C
That totally wrecks my ideas about the universe. How did you arrive at that number? But does this also mean that if I were in a ship traveling at .6c towards another ship traveling at .6c in the opposite direction, then each ship would still observe the other traveling at a speed less than, but...- Kalibr

Graduate Thought experiment: Orbiting bodies close to C
Does this mean that theoretically, one could live on a solar system moving at close to c away from the center of the universe (blame it on the big bang) and they could live, work, live and play in such a system? And could they then theoretically accelerate objects away from our observational...- Kalibr

Graduate Thought experiment: Orbiting bodies close to C
Hi all, I was bored a little while ago, and somehow started thinking about the Big bang and all that fun stuff. I once heard it said that some of the galaxies near the end of the universe are at close to light speed. Now I'm not here to dispute that (would be nice if it were true though) but...- Kalibr

IR LED not working What gives?
Ok, some stats I pulled off the info sheet of the LED. @vk6kro Forward Voltage: 1.2 typical, 2.0 maximum. Tested at 20mA @Topher925: 940 nm Don't know if this helps, but the Continuous Forward Current is rated at 50mA Also, @dlgoff, yours is probably to be the most likely option -_-...- Kalibr

IR LED not working What gives?
Hello all, quick question because this circuit doesn't seem to be working at all... I bought a few IR LEDs to attempt a few of the projects located http://johnnylee.net/projects/wii/" and for some obscure reason none of them are working. I hooked a AAA cell (multimeter rates it at 1.2 V) to a...- Kalibr
