Projectile Motion Cat Ledge Problem Solution
It jumps at 35 degrees and the wall is 1.5m so tan35=1.5/x. It reaches its max height after the wall and lands on the 1.5m tall ledge.- kj99

Projectile Motion Cat Ledge Problem Solution
Homework Statement A cat leaps over a 1.5m wall with a speed of 15m/s and at an angle of 35 degrees. The cat lands on the edge of a ledge that is 1.5m tall, how far is the ledge from the wall? Homework EquationsThe Attempt at a Solution I used the range equation to find the entire horizontal...- kj99

High School Catapult: Rotating Throwing Arm to Reduce Air Resistance?
Projectile Analysis: Distance = 40m Angle = 45 degrees Velocity = 19.8m/s Can I use the projectile velocity to calculate centripetal acceleration? Other Given: Radius/length of arm: 40cm Pull back angle: 60 degrees Spring length: 15cm Mass of ball is 46g Time(ball): 2s What else can I... -

High School Catapult: Rotating Throwing Arm to Reduce Air Resistance?
Distance gets me a higher mark but if it breaks I won't get a mark at all lol. -

High School Catapult: Rotating Throwing Arm to Reduce Air Resistance?
Not really for the projectile since it's a standard golf ball but whatever optimizes the speed of the arm is a bonus. However the tighter my springs are the more often they pop off the circle screws and the tightness also dent my pivot arm (thin metal pole). -

High School Catapult: Rotating Throwing Arm to Reduce Air Resistance?
Would rotating the throwing arm (2cm by 4cm) to its side reduce air resistance due to the smaller surface area? (Imagine a palm vs karate chop scenario). -

Soln: Acceleration of System & Tension in Ropes
Yeah I tried it again and I got 7.66m/s/s. I probably messed up in my substitutions somewhere along the way.- kj99

Soln: Acceleration of System & Tension in Ropes
Homework Statement Find the Acceleration of the system and the tensions in the three ropes. *If you can't see the picture there's a triangle (ABC), a train of four objects and three pulleys (one exactly at each corner). Side AC (hypotenuse) at the bottom, side AB to the left and side AC to the...- kj99
