Undergrad Comparing subsample distribution vs whole sample
Hello, I have sample of ~280 measurements. Some are replicates and some are not. I want to remove the measurements that have no replicates, so that I can apply various modeling techniques that need mean/stdev data. I would like to show that my subsample of ~100 measurements statistically...- labrookie

Undergrad Variance (error bars) with a binomial proportion
Yes, they are all different samples. The assay is for an amount of gas given off by each of them. "D" happens to be the same chemical that was sampled. I am trying to show a proportion of the samples that are greater >2g/ml. Just showing the binomial variation may underestimate the total...- labrookie

Undergrad Variance (error bars) with a binomial proportion
I have a list of chemicals, their assay test results, and a binomial column of whether or not the assay test result was high enough to be considered a threat (anything >2g/ml). Some chemicals were tested more than once, but others were not. It is understood that it is a poor set of data, but I...- labrookie

Undergrad Testing when a series becomes not significantly different anymore
Thanks! Here is the real word situation: As you cook a shrimp prawn, the color of the surface of the shrimp turns from an opaque/white color to a pink/red color. Using a colorimeter, I took measurements throughout the cooking process. The colorimeter turns the color processed into a...- labrookie

Undergrad Testing when a series becomes not significantly different anymore
Hello, I am trying to figure out what test to use in order to solve a fairly basic concept. I am not sure if this is a cenvergence test or a significance test. Example: Consider the following data x y 1 30 2 22 3 18 4 12 5 10 6 9 7 8 8 6 9 5.5 10 5.8 I want to...- labrookie
