Projectile Motion Questions: Solving for Time and Velocity
@Bill Foster oh now i get it, so i have to use of the SUVAT equations to find the time, am i right? (^^) @azatkgz i think i had a mistake to take the time as 1s. and also, wouldn't i be taking the initial velocity (u) as 0 ms(-1) because the starting velocity is 0??. and also, did i...- liquidblot

High School Why Does a Rocket's Momentum Remain Unchanged but Its Kinetic Energy Increases?
its weird, because the answer i got from my teacher was that the total momentum was unchanged while the total kinetic energy had increased. i can see how the total kinetic energy increased, but why does the total momentum remain unchanged? or is my teacher actually saying the wrong answer :(...- liquidblot

High School Why Does a Rocket's Momentum Remain Unchanged but Its Kinetic Energy Increases?
hi guys!~ i was going through my test papers and found a question that i don't understand >_< when a rocket is shot upwards and at the point where it stops in the air, it explodes... so why does its momentum remain unchanged but the kinetic energy is increased?? ~by the way, the answer...- liquidblot
