hello, while doing the mesh analysis what do you substract to what to get the current that is in the middle of two loops what is the rule to get i1 - i2 or i2 - i1 it depends on what ? thanks in advance for the help :smile:
thanks a lot. But then who is right? if i get a negative voltage or current do i take the absolute value because the polarity that i chose was wrong?

There is one thing i can't seem to figure out and it is the sign convention for circuits. On one side my textbook says that it is arbitrary and a neg sign in some cases means that we didnt chose the correct polarity and in some cases i feel like it is some kind of vodoo magic. I don't get how...
