One more question if you don't mind, if I wasn't given the values -1,0 and 1 to choose from (which in the original assignment I wasn't) how could I have known that the initial conditions were (-1,-1) and not, say, (-1.2,-1.2)? Because if I plot my solutions, they can take on values lower than -1...
