Evolution & DNA: Does It Exist In All Life?

Yes, I can do simple, basic Google searches, but I don't trust many of the things found floating on the net, including Wiki, becase there is far too much absolute garbage out there...pure bunk. I come here to a site with professionals, for expert opinions.

Evolution & DNA: Does It Exist In All Life?

Phind, I just like to try and fit together pieces of the puzzles in my head. I don't do this for a living. I wonder things like, "If the theory of evolution is correct, do all living things have similar strands of DNA...why did we evolve as humans instead of palm trees?"

Evolution & DNA: Does It Exist In All Life?

Does DNA exist in all living things...Humans, extremophiles, plant life?

    Much appreciated Phind

What happens when an element is heated?

No problem. One thing though, I don't think that the metal would have to be heated to the point of producing photons (ie Red Hot) in order for thermal expansion to occur.

What happens when an element is heated?

Thank you Russ. Phinds, perhaps you were joking, but yeah, the size of the metal does expand, just like it contracts when cooled sufficiently. As for your other statement, I think pharmaceuticals are available to help.

What happens when an element is heated?

Let's say we have a bar of 100% pure iron. We know that on a 'human' level- that which we can see with the naked eye, Iron (Fe) will "grow" when heated. But on an atomic level, Is this due to exansion of the atomic particles, or due to a growth of the atom itself, or due to an expansion in the...

What is the true nature of photons and their interaction with magnetic waves?

Okay, so this may sound stupid, but when considering a basic neodymium magnet, what do you say are the particles(?) behind the forces?

What is the true nature of photons and their interaction with magnetic waves?

Thanks Drakkith, that helped clarify it perfectly. It would have helped if I had added "electro" to my OP. Dale, you got me there... If a photon has no +/- charge, what energy is it transferring? Kinetic?

What is the true nature of photons and their interaction with magnetic waves?

Where yopu lost me is when you said, "Magnetic waves and photons are the exact same thing."

What is the true nature of photons and their interaction with magnetic waves?

I do understand beyond the basics, but what you are saying does not match conventional instruction
