Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Photons vs Gravitons. No, one might not expect this behavior. The interaction for the strong nuclear force is very different than the weak interaction which... -
Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Reciprocal time dilation on the example with two moving trains. It usually helps immensely in describing a scenario by drawing it. Even a very basic one. :) -
Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Photons vs Gravitons. It's difficult to do this since basically any amount of energy will kick the neutrino to relativistic speeds (##E\gtrsim m\lt... -

Matterwave replied to the thread High School Can anyone deeply understand relativity?.For a modern treatment of GR, differential geometry would provide the broader perspective. You can learn SR without much of that... -
Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Photons vs Gravitons. To be fully technical, it is still possible that one of the neutrino mass eigenstates is 0. All we constrain with oscillation tests are... -
Matterwave replied to the thread Studying Correlating IQ and STEM performance. You just love taking tests that much? 😂 -

That's only correct for a free particle, i.e., zero potential. That's not the case in your example; you have a potential confining the... -
Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Discrepancy in uncertainty among various operators. It's right to be suspicious here since that's just the free Hamiltonian. Where did the "in a box" constraint go? Hint: boundary... -

That's true. I haven't computed the actual deltas from the energy eigenstates the OP is using, but of course that could be done to see... -
Matterwave replied to the thread Undergrad Discrepancy in uncertainty among various operators.I fully agree with the rest of your post. My only concern was about the quoted part. But even purely in QM, the generalized uncertainty... -

You can't argue anything from an uncertainty relation where one of the factors is zero. That breaks the math.
