Simple calc limit problem help
I'm in Calc I and have run into a probably simple problem I can use guidance on. Evaluate the following Limit lim x -> -1 [(2x-1)^2 - 9] / [x+1] Its been a few years since pre-calc and I'm drawing a blank on how to proceed on this problem. Thanks for any help offered!- Matus1976

Path of least resistence, static wire in B field or moveable wire?
I was curious, if the same voltage was applied to two conductors, I guess wired in parallel, and both passed through a magnetic field at a right angle to the field, and one was refrained from moving, while the other was allowed to move - which path would the electrical current travel?- Matus1976
