Simple mechanism design software
Nothing? Not even a Java applet? So far, the best option I've turned up is Working Model 2D (http://www.design-simulation.com/wm2d/index.php), with a 6-month student license for $29.99. Anyone use this program?- mbrady

Hey, I just started a course in mechanism design this semester and I was wondering if there was a free/inexpensive piece of software that would allow me to simulate/analyze simple mechanisms including linkages, joints, and such. Is this function realizable for every yes/no why should be provided?
I thought about this for a bit while sitting in Sensors & Controls class, using a ton of Laplace transforms. I think this is right, but here goes: The determining factor concerns the highest power of s in both the numerator and denominator, so let's call them m and n, respectively...- mbrady
