How Does a Thermocouple Interface with an ECU to Control Fuel Injection?
Here is a little more detail about what I am trying to achieve... the input is the K-type thermocouple. This is what I need the circuit to do: At 980 celsius (+/- 20 degrees), I need it to send 13vdc output. under 980 degrees, the output on this should be 0vdc. Also, there is...- meestahbig

How Does a Thermocouple Interface with an ECU to Control Fuel Injection?
Hi everyone, please let me know if this posting belongs elsewhere. I have a car that runs a motronic 2.7 fuel injection system and with that there is a thermocouple probe in the exhaust pipe (standard K-type thermocouple). This thermocouple goes into a black box which then sends out a signal...- meestahbig

Need help undrstanding this circuit
okay, this is a lot clearer now, but I am still unclear about what the capacitors are doing and how they work in the circuit. I read this and it sheds some light, but still not 100% clear. http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4598260_a-capacitor-work.html How would C12, C13 handle a voltage...- meestahbig

Need help undrstanding this circuit
the top line brings DC voltage to the top IRF720, if it is energized by HO from the chip, this will allow the voltage to flow through to the flourescents if the lower IRF720 is not energized, when that is energized that connects the DC voltage to ground and the inductor coil magnetic fields...- meestahbig

Need help undrstanding this circuit
okay, so on c12, c13 if here is a spike the cap will just run the spike to ground, that makes sense. C1, if there is excess voltage or current it will go through C1, thus smoothing out the voltage heading to R1? still not sure why C11 is there. thanks for the explanation about the chip pins...- meestahbig

hmmm, okay the mystery cloud is starting to lift what you say makes sense to me and I looked up the IR-2155 chip. lo and behold it says it is used a typical circuit that looks very much like the one I a dealing with. http://www.irf.com/product-info/datasheets/data/ir2155.pdf just to back...- meestahbig

Need help undrstanding this circuit
Hi all, this is my very first post on the forum... seems very cool. I do a lot of work with pinball machines and jukeboxes. These are really great fun b/c they are very much cricuit driven, but also have a mechanical aspect to them and dang, pinball is fun. anyway, I like to understand what I...- meestahbig
