I need to find several cheap strain gauges. I was able to find some at Mouser for several hundred dollars, but that is way too much. I wasn't able to find any at all at digikey or several other suppliers whom I've never heard of. Do cheap strain gauges even exist?

Full load was around 500mA. Would this switching frequency be considered noise? So the LDO removes the 'noise' cause by the switching frequency of the IC? Couldn't this also be done using capacitors? Thanks for your help.
