Undergrad Velocity of electrons in a wire
Oh I see now. So the drift velocity of a single electron might be very slow, but because there are 8.5 * 10^28 electrons in a wire point of the wire, you still can get a pretty high current flow?- moment1337

Undergrad Velocity of electrons in a wire
Electrons are moving in moves in all sorts of directions, causing the net electric charge to cancel out. But, when you apply a voltage, there's a small amount of electrons that will move towards the direction in the direction of the voltage. This is called the drift speed. Am I right? I read...- moment1337

Undergrad SOLVED Centripetal force in magnetic field
Hello. I have currently just started styding magnetism. My book states that an electic charge moving perpendicular to the magnetic field will cause the particle to move in a circular motion. This formula describes the motion of the particle: qvB=mv2/r According to the formule F=qvBsinα, the...- moment1337

High School What are causing the cup to fly out?
I have been doing quite a lot of tests on my own now and has sort of came to the conclusion that air pressure is forming at the bottom of the outher cup and pushes the inner one up. I tried verfiying this by cutting out of the bottom of the outer cup, thinking that this would cause the air to...- moment1337

High School What are causing the cup to fly out?
Hello. I need some help of understanding what forces are causing one of the cups to fly out of the other one when you blow at it. This video describes the experiment.- moment1337
