Solve 2 Equations 2 Unknowns: Hibbeler Dynamics 12th Ed.
? I just ran through it again and it worked out. Unbelievable. I guess what thy say about walking away from the problem and coming back to it later really works. I am going to post my work. Thanks for your help.- Mr Beatnik

Solve 2 Equations 2 Unknowns: Hibbeler Dynamics 12th Ed.
Sorry about the confusion and I am aware that a 3-4-5 triangle does not make a 25 degree takeoff. Here is a free body diagram to help describe. The equations are correct btw, I just can't solve the system. Thanks for the help.- Mr Beatnik

Solve 2 Equations 2 Unknowns: Hibbeler Dynamics 12th Ed.
Homework Statement Ok forgive me as an engineering student but this problem should be easier than it seems. The Problem: It is observed that the skier leaves the ramp A at an angle (Theata=25 degrees) with the horizontal. If he strikes the ground at point B, determine his initial speed,V, and...- Mr Beatnik

Basic Dynamics Fc: Find Distance "L" from Point of Support
Thanks for the help. I'll try it and see what I come up with. Either way I'll post an answer and maybe you can tell me if it's right.- Mr Beatnik

Basic Dynamics Fc: Find Distance "L" from Point of Support
Ok so after some struggling I realized that the attempt above is completely wrong. I have broken the circle down into its components and solved for cos(O) and got 2/3 which I was able to verify so I know that part is right. So I have also found that part of the length is Rsin(O) and now I need...- Mr Beatnik

Basic Dynamics Fc: Find Distance "L" from Point of Support
Homework Statement A ring radius R is fixed vertically to the floor. From the top of the ring and object slides down without friction. Find the distance "L" from the point of support of the ring to the point where the object hits the ground. Homework Equations I think the object travels...- Mr Beatnik
