Ok, so according to Einstein, the Earth is held in by a "fabric" due the the Sun pulling on said "fabric." So my question, what holds people on Earth if gravity is this "spacetime fabric?"
OK, I've been wondering, what's the significance of saying "speed of light in a vaccum" if lightspeed is a constant. Is the "vacuum" part even necessary?
I was watching "The Universe" on History Channel today and it was asking the quesiton, "what was before the Big Bang and what triggered it?" Unforunately, I had to leave and could not finish watching it. Could someone shed some light? Even if you didn't see it, could you please fill me in?
