Fortran Fortran for Computational Fluid Dynamics Problems
Open Foam is excellent and free . I use it a lot . Not easy to learn as a first introduction to a CFD package though .- Nidum

Need to understand & manipulate EPS foam extrusion & production
Not one of mine - this comes from the SymScale Library - but it shows modelling of plastic beads being fed into a plastisicer .- Nidum

Need to understand & manipulate EPS foam extrusion & production
Thermoforming is usually a secondary production process . Pre moulded sheets of EP are heated and pressed in dies to form generally simple shapes .- Nidum

Fortran Fortran for Computational Fluid Dynamics Problems
What is the actual project that you have to work on ? Edit : I see you mention hot gas diffusion but could you provide more details ?- Nidum

Need to understand & manipulate EPS foam extrusion & production
In all the basic product making processes the chemical activity is largely finished before the shape forming process begins so I don't entirely understand the question ? Anyway the shape forming processes all involve variants of the injection moulding principle - there's lot's of information on...- Nidum

How are some intelligent people so productive?
Success is generated by a suitable combination of Motivation + Opportunity + Capability . It's a bit like the fire triangle - Ignition source + Fuel + Oxidiser .- Nidum

Need to understand & manipulate EPS foam extrusion & production
What more do you need to know ? Do you want information about the practical engineering of the moulding equipment or theoretical modelling of the material flow in the moulding process ?- Nidum

Fortran Fortran for Computational Fluid Dynamics Problems
I am not sure how far you are going to get with this project starting from no knowledge of numerical methods , computer programming , fluid mechanics , theory of CAD/FEA/CFD or commercial analysis software and with a twit for an advisor but genuinely best of luck anyway . Not much de novo CFD...- Nidum

B Tug of War: Force, Equilibrium, and the Third Principle
This is a non steady state problem . Each team is trying to pull the other one towards it and so win the match . So as one side pulls harder the other side pulls harder until such time as one side reaches the limit of it's pulling strength and falls over or starts slipping along the ground ...- Nidum

What is the final velocity of a ball rolling through a tube?
Surely the condition shown in far rhs image can never be ? The arc shaped pipe will have been tipping over in the clockwise direction continuously since the ball first entered it ? -

Correct way to remove a user's folder and contents
Depends what you mean by removal . 'Delete' just moves it to the recycle bin . You or an intruder could still easily move it or open it . 'Empty contents of recycle bin' just removes the easy access option . The file - for an initial period at least - still exists on disk and can be...- Nidum

Differentiate between rectangular beam and flange beam
That's a valid observation . So you can reasonably make the decision that it needs to be a flanged beam . That is what I would have decided on as well . Really any beam being cast directly into a concrete slab has to have features which lock into the concrete . These features occur naturally in...- Nidum
