Projectile Motion football question
I'm not sure, but the figures seem a little off. By which I mean they don't seem perfect parabolas, but a little stunted, like when a friction component is induced. Does the question say whether friction or not?- Olly4

Calculating Force Needed to Lift 79kg Mass at Const. Speed
You actually already solved it. For something to move at a constant speed, the net force has to be 0. So she just has to pull hard enough to overcome the gravitational force. Which you already calculated.- Olly4

How Do You Calculate a Rocket's Initial Upward Acceleration?
Your formula is correct, except for the gravity factor which you are missing. Think about forces, gravity is downward, the thrust is upward. You'll want the net force upward for the acceleration. So that should be everything you need.- Olly4

Getting a Master's in Physics in the US?
Checking whether the living is going to be for me isn't the main point, as I lived in the US for about a year with my parents, and I've visited a couple of times on vacation. It's more about the university itself, how the atmosphere is there. I've heard that we have much more freedom in...- Olly4

Getting a Master's in Physics in the US?
I'm an Dutch Physics and Astronomy student, and if all goes according to plan I'll be getting my Bachelor degrees in both this year. I was planning to get my Master in physics after this, and hopefully in the US, but when I started checking universities (UCLA, Berkely, MIT etc.) they all seem...- Olly4
