Undergrad What is Phonon Replica? A Brief Explanation
hi I also need the answer for this question. From my reading, I think the phonon replica is an interaction between exciton and lattice vibrational. Due to phonon optical energy, it helps electron-hole to recombine and emit a light. This can be observed in PL exp at high T. Can somebody...- ordinary_girl

Undergrad Photoluminescence vs Absorption
hi I'm never done the absorption exp before. But I think the process between both experiments is same. the difference is only on the data that you get from the exp. for e.g., pls refer to this journal (Figure 3 (a) and (b)...- ordinary_girl

Graduate Can We Have Less Than One Exciton? Understanding Electron-Hole Pairs
hi thanks for the replied. sorry for lack of information. it's about exciton in quantum dot (more specificly is in type-II quantum dot where the holes is confined in the dots). from photoluminescence of power dependence, they found 2 different slope by plotting the graph of QD peak vs...- ordinary_girl

Graduate Can We Have Less Than One Exciton? Understanding Electron-Hole Pairs
hi I always heard my lecturer mentioned about 'less than 1 exciton'. as everybody knows, exciton is electron-hole pair. can we have <<<1 exciton? What does it mean? thanks in advance for your reply.- ordinary_girl

Graduate Can anyone explain the Aharonov Bohm effect in quantum dots?
can anyone explain to me what is Aharonov Bohm? I read it in wikipedia but I'm still blur  How can we see this effect in quantum dots? For example: GaSb quantum dot in GaAs (holes strongly confined in GaSb, electron is loosely bound due to Coulomb interaction) Any...- ordinary_girl
