My Mylar notification for you and a question

Oh ok thanks. Also with the helium balloon thing I'm pretty sure it has helium because it floats. I don't think hydrogen balloons are sold at stores so I don't know what else it would be filled with. Doesn't seem to affect the sound in any noticable way though unfortunately.

My Mylar notification for you and a question

Hmm ok thanks. Next balloon I get I will be sure to try helium. Hmm I will use a flashlight and see if I can find that. Alright thanks, LED it is then. Will it say the words "contained fixture" on the rating? Hmm interesting, I thought temperature and heat were the same thing, I will look...

My Mylar notification for you and a question

I will draw a 3d picture. I looked at the bulbs again I think some are incandescent but I have a mix of bulbs. One solution I am thinking of is just get larger bulbs that completely enclose the area, however, based on your post, this could result in the bulb running too hot. But since I don't...

My Mylar notification for you and a question

I am not sure if it is even possible to get into the roofceiling of the house. Most likely but I am not entirely sure. They give off a yellow tint. Presumably so, but I am not sure if it is possible to get into the roof ceiling to verify. I measured the temperature in the light cavity and it...

My Mylar notification for you and a question

I looked into mylar earlier to see if it was safe, the information I found was vague. The glass panels are a good suggestion. I guess technically it "could" be done but it would be impractical. Idk if lightbulb glass is insulated or not, the temp would flow through the lightbulbs and out of...

Can you make a battery out of light slowing materials?

its not the speed of light which is the problem, but rather the frequency. Although frequency is kinda speed from a certain point of view, i am talking about the physical speed of light from one star to another star. think about it like this. 1 second of sunlight is not much fuel for a solar...

My Mylar notification for you and a question

my home is over 100 degrees in the ceiling. the engineers who built this palace put the lightbulbs in an open cavity so that the 105, 110, 120? degrees ceiling pours into the room. I thought mylar would be a good material to insulate this since it would allow some light to pass through while...

your ellipsoid invention is brilliant, but out of curiosity, i can't seem to get the other invention of yours to fulfill the requirements. I am going to show a gif to see if its what you had in mind. You specified a 1:1 ratio for the gear so I made the gear the same size, idk why the original...

Building a better crankshaft (crank and slider)

Not me, but I think the user known as "some bloke" is the first to invent this. You may be right and maybe this was invented already, I'm not 100% sure. Early steam locomotives had a problem of getting stuck at BDC, then the locomotive would start to go in reverse, this invention would have...

Building a better crankshaft (crank and slider)

this idea is bloody brilliant. https://www.myinstants.com/search/?name=brilliant2 if i ever get rich from this contraption (or at least make a decent profit) i shall try to give u a reasonable reward. not trying to "general electric" people out of their fair share. had this been invented 200...

Building a better crankshaft (crank and slider)

I guess I am confused about the elongated ellipsoid in the middle, what is its function? Is that the central oval cam you refer to that rocks back and forth? I do not see it rocking back and forth in the image, and I'm wondering how it is connected to the pin. In the first one also the center...

    Philosophical question about Quantum Gravity

There could be Musk arcades, at museums of science. You got to the museum of science, plug in brain to the arcade, learn the theory of everything, then unplug and come out of the arcade feeling ecstatic about it but unable to explain what it is.

B Confusion while trying to build intuition of centripetal force

Hmm, I am not sure what these letters are. https://www.physicsforums.com/attachments/screen-shot-2021-07-11-at-10-04-15-png.285786/ That is not a realistic question, the answer would depend on a lot of factors, like suspension, tire flexibility, length and width of the car, etc., irl there are...

B Confusion while trying to build intuition of centripetal force

Helps if u just view a tire as 1 component instead of studying the whole car. Just like go to your backyard get a tire. Or just get a lego tire. The tire will resist sideways motion. So if the tire is at angle (lets say the angle is 1:00 or 2:00 clockwise). Its going to exert a force south...

I If gravity is not a force, what is holding us down?

On a more serious note though, I think the movie will be easier to visualize since its already visual. On the other hand, the book may be so well written that it is easy to visualize also.
