Complete calculus analysis of polynomial functions
Been quite a few years since I completed high school and I'm taking this class because I need it so I can register for university. I don't know If I could solve a quadratic equation but have recently been learning about derivatives.- PatrickrG

Complete calculus analysis of polynomial functions
It is an online class It is required for that specific assignment, they want me to know different ways to solve things. Its hard for me because I learn better in a classroom setting where I can see examples and here it explained rather than online...But technically I am self learning because I...- PatrickrG

Temperature rise in oven and daylight hours in Windsor
so for 1 I just need to find the derivative to know the temperature rise? and for 2 if the derivative is zero and the sign changes it will make a max or a min? Sorry I still don't know how to go about this when it comes to the formula or the numbers- PatrickrG

T'(t) ? would that be its derivative? I do not have a graphing calculator, and I am not sure what it means when f'(x) is zero- PatrickrG

Complete calculus analysis of polynomial functions
in 1a. where f(x) is -x^2 + 4x -3 I plugged these into a graph and visually I see that x intercepts is x 0,-3 y is 1.5,0, no critical points, intervals of increase when x>0, decrease when x<0, no point of inflection/concavity or max/min. That is as far as I got- PatrickrG

Temperature rise in oven and daylight hours in Windsor
Homework Statement [/B] 1. When a certain object is placed in an oven at 540°C, its temperature T(t) rises according to the equation T(t) = 540(1 – e^–0.1t), where t is the elapsed time (in minutes). What is the temperature after 10 minutes and how quickly is it rising at this time? I have...- PatrickrG

Complete calculus analysis of polynomial functions
Hello, I need to do a complete analysis using calculus and algebraic methods for these problems ƒ(x) = −x2 + 4x − 3 g(x) = x3 − 6x2 + 9x h(x) = x4 − 6x2 p(x) = x4 − 4x3 finding intercepts, critical points, intervals of increase and decrease, points of inflection, intervals of concavity...- PatrickrG
