Crystal Goblet-Opera Singer Frequency Problem
Homework Statement Standing-wave vibrations are set up in a crystal goblet with four nodes and four antinodes equally spaced around the 15.0 cm circumference of its rim. If transverse waves move around the glass at 920 m/s, an opera singer would have to produce a high harmonic with what...- pc21

Pinball spring problem help me please
PE= mgy KE=1/2mv^2 PE=1/2kx^2 i know the problem has got to be set up using PE1=KE2+PE2, but I'm at a loss of which equations will work correctly. I've tried a couple and my velocities are all over. Any help would be appreciated.- pc21

Pinball spring problem help me please
Homework Statement The ball launcher in a pinball machine has a spring that has a force constant of 1.10 N/cm (Fig. P5.71). The surface on which the ball moves is inclined 10.0° with respect to the horizontal. If the spring is initially compressed 6.00 cm, find the launching speed of a 0.100...- pc21

How Far is the Spring Compressed When a Block Slides Down an Incline?
[SOLVED] Please help- spring problem [b]1. A block of mass 12.0 kg slides from rest down a frictionless 32.0° incline and is stopped by a strong spring with k = 1.00 104 N/m. The block slides 3.00 m from the point of release to the point where it comes to rest against the spring. When the...- pc21
