Graduate Does Dark Matter Really Exist? A Look at Alternative Theories in Astrophysics
Ah, thanks for correcting me. I meant to say detecting "action" as opposed to existence. :)- pmghss

Graduate Non-ballistic big bang and expansion not from a center
Ok, then nobody should be allowed to post any theories about The Big Bang. That is exactly what it is - personal theories! There is no 100% proof of evidence the Big Bang even happened! It sounds like all you want is YOUR safe standard model theories that everyone learns in school and REPEATS it... -

Graduate Non-ballistic big bang and expansion not from a center
Then quit using the term "Universe". Call it Gobbledeegook, Blather, Blob-o-muk. Make something up. You seem to be stuck on the definition of a word. I'm calling everything we can see or detect a "Blob of Matter". Or how about - The Big Blob. As I stated before, outside does not stop. That... -

Graduate Does Dark Matter Really Exist? A Look at Alternative Theories in Astrophysics
As it turns out, there is a gas cloud heading for the center of the galaxy that could possibly light up the black hole. With more searches, perhaps a more current event can be found.- pmghss

Graduate Non-ballistic big bang and expansion not from a center
One of the points I was trying to make is that "outside" is infinite, and what we call "universe" may just be a blob of matter floating around other blobs of matter. I am not meaning a multi-verse, in which each "universe" is separate and travel to and from each one is impossible. Oh, and... -

Graduate Non-ballistic big bang and expansion not from a center
I have studied basic cosmology and the standard model. That's why I choose to use common sense instead. I'm not sure about what is defined as a "finite" universe. What I was hinting at was that our "universe" might be blob of matter, similar to solar systems or galaxies, floating... -

28 year old's startup wants to completely kill credit cards
They all seem like a scam. A man in the middle who does nothing except accept money. If it is so easy, and there are a lot of pay alternatives, then why can't everyone be there own man in the middle?- pmghss

Graduate Does Dark Matter Really Exist? A Look at Alternative Theories in Astrophysics
There is no images or evidence of an accretion disk that I am aware of. The only visible evidence is the 15 year infrared light study of the motion of the stars around the black hole. If there is any images of an accretion disk, I would like to see them! :)- pmghss

Then why is there no accretion disk around the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy?- pmghss

If there is no activity around a black hole, they are undetectable unless there is some new form of detection I am not aware of.- pmghss

Undergrad Why cant an object travel faster than the speed of light?
All we have to do is to somehow convert a material object to light, then send the light to a destination. Problem solved. :) Then convert back to the material object.- pmghss

Graduate Non-ballistic big bang and expansion not from a center
It is simple. Either this universe is itself the infinite area, or it may be just a glob of matter contained in an infinite area. I use my own quote. Outside does not stop. -

Graduate Does Dark Matter Really Exist? A Look at Alternative Theories in Astrophysics
If they did account for "everything", then it would be a guess. There could be many black holes wandering through the galaxy with nothing around them. The same could be true for old neutron stars, and burned out stars. I'm not saying they are wrong, just playing the devil's advocate about...- pmghss

Graduate Neutron star spin and rotation axis
The star is spinning in a way that we are seeing it's polar axis, or close to it. If one is spinning in that manner at 600 times a second for example, what about it's other axis of rotation? The "daily" axis of rotation. Is it wobling through space?- pmghss
