Undergrad Why can both astronauts validly claim the other's clock runs slower?
objects with mass are moving through the time dimension at the speed of light. as soon as they start moving in a spatial dimension then they start moving through the time dimension slower. photons, gravitons etc don't move through the time dimension, time stands still for photons.- ralilu

Graduate Simple explanation of what string theory is about
I am busy reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene and so far i think its the best book I've read on this subject. If (big, huge if) i still have queries i'll check out Lee Smolin's book.- ralilu

What is the magnitude of the net force acting on the ball?
nevermind, for question 2 u don't need the mass: calculate decceleration: final velocity squared= initial velocity squared + 2as work done = change in kinetic energy = force x distance the mass will cancel out- ralilu

What is the magnitude of the net force acting on the ball?
thats not really attempting the problem here are a few hints: question 1) find the acceleration and multiply it by the mass 2) do they tell u the mass of the sk8er? u need the mass to work out the kinetic friction- ralilu

Is space exploration a viable career and future for humanity?
okay, i guess human space exploration might not solve today's problems and we will just have to wait and see about wormholes...But humans should start exploring space for the sake of the future. The new technology and science will benefit us all. Setting human outposts in space will ensure...- ralilu

Is space exploration a viable career and future for humanity?
Some of the problems space exploration can solve include but are not limited to: unlimited energy - if solar panels are placed in space and beamed back towards the Earth we will have an unlimited supply of solar energy One of the main reasons nuclear energy is not used is because of the...- ralilu

Is space exploration a viable career and future for humanity?
in the short run the government will have to spend lots of money on it ,but in the long run it will be a good investment because besides the new technology and science to be discovered... lots of industries, businesses and jobs will be created.- ralilu
