The only trajectory problem on my whole SI sheet (trajectory) I cannot do

"The parabolic path followed passes through 0,0 and 20,25, and the gradient at (20,25) is -1 The second derivative anywhere is -9.8 Surely if you put all that together the answer can be extracted That enables you"I just started calculus 2 weeks ago. I am decent with derivatives but to be...

The only trajectory problem on my whole SI sheet (trajectory) I cannot do

I typed this very late last night, I promise you that that "t" was there in every single one of my equations. I lose track of variables when I have to keep typing out all the little subscripts and figures, sorry. it hits the wall at a -45 degree angle after it maximum y value

The only trajectory problem on my whole SI sheet (trajectory) I cannot do

Homework Statement This a trajectory problem. A ball is launched from ground level at a unknown angle. ( ∅o= ? ) at an unknown velocity ( Vo = ? ) The ball travels 20 meters in the x direction and 25 meters up in the y direction. At this point (20,25) the ball hits a wall and a -45 angle...

Cool classical physics proof I came up with today

THANK YOU GUYS! Damnit.. I thought that last part was a little bit to easy. I just started calculus this week so I have not learned integration yet..

Cool classical physics proof I came up with today

Check out this pdf on this website. No signing up or anything, It took me the better half of today to do this. Anyways, this might be well known for people above my basic physics knowledge, but I came up with this all by myself knowing a few simple equations...

Does the color of a laser affect its velocity of the light wave projected by it?

the speed of light is the constant that allows the formula Wavelengthxfrequency= Velocity to work so well. If the wavelength lengthens the frequency must lessen proportionally. pretty cool IMO

Need some quick physics 110 help

this should be obvious, but I'm a little confused. Question is, ' If an object weight 100 pounds on the Earth's surface (4k miles from the center), is moved to 4000 miles above the surface. How much does it weigh?' f=Gm1m2/r2, so you would square the r, which means you would divide Gm1m2 by 4...

IT and I want to switch to Astrophysics

I can't help you here, but I also stumbled across Sagan not too long ago, and I knew I had to get into astrophysics. I'd always been interested in the topic, but never to the point where I was willing to just sit and read all day in the library. I just finished a 5th book of his, and they were...

Programs Can I become a physics major after starting late in my college career?

thanks guys for the help. I just went to the library and got 2 algebra books and a trig book. Going to try and learn those over the summer, I havnt taken the math placement yet because I didnt take a math class my last 2 years of high school.

Programs Can I become a physics major after starting late in my college career?

ok.. well I really do not care how long this takes to complete... this is my dream and way to happiness so time really isn't an issue. Would it be smarter to stay a 3rd year at my community college and take all the calculus and calculus based physics classes needed and then transfer after...

Programs Can I become a physics major after starting late in my college career?

Yeah one of the worst decisions I've ever made is to stop taking math junior year in high School because I technically didn't "have to" I have been studying algebra and geometry like a mad man on my own time, and I think I will end up taking Trig and Pre Calc, and at least one physics class...

Programs Can I become a physics major after starting late in my college career?

Hello! I am new to this site as you can see but I plan on being here for a while. I am just finishing my freshman year of college, and I have 20 unites with between a 3.4-3.7 GPA. This year I did not want to declare a major because I was to scared to commit to one.. Ive known my whole life I...
