I think it will. It will not only experience a net force, but a net torque as well. However, if it was placed in a uniform electric field, it will only experience a net torque as the forces cancel out! I pretty much got to know the answer a while after I posted this question.

When there is a magnetic dipole placed in an external non uniform magnetic field, will it experience a net force?
