I How will the final output here behave?

Thank you The applied voltage, the back EMF from motor rotation, and the resistance of the motors, will set the operating point. How would I go on calculating those? Thank you

I How will the final output here behave?

Hi I was watching this: How will we calculate various outputs? 1 Final toruqe? 2 RPM 3 Output shaft horsepower? Will it just be a sum of the individual motors, or will there be other things to keep in mind? Does the efficiency scale linearly? What issues will appear from a setup like...

How do you meet intelligent women?

Define intelligence. Is the ability to solve 600 differential equation a minute a benchmark of intelligence? Or is the ability to find a smooth solution to the general NS equation the intelligence. Or even, trying to develop something like Begriffsschrift the "real intelligence muhaaha - then...

Looking for a Time Series Analysis Text

(Apologies, I could not think of a better title - also not sure if this is the correct subforum - also, I know that this is not a German regional forum, but the book was in English, so I thought may be the international community can help?). Two days ago, I was in the Library at Köln (Those...

Milankovitch Cycles and change of seasons

    1. yes. Precession is what happens to a spinning top. No matter how slow, it has some components of precession. If you absolutely stop it, then there is no precession 2. The moon actually stabilizes a planets precession. Lack of moon, or less massive moon (in case of mars) messes it up. The...

High & Low Pressure in Atmospheres: Clarification Needed

There are two different types of pressure. Hydrostatic Pressure : weight of the air column. If you heat air up, then air expands, and then density drops, this lifts itself, due to archemedian forces. However, that would meen a lack of air in the place where it was, and that lack is not...

Milankovitch Cycles and change of seasons

What I want to know is will there be a time when Northern Hemisphere will experience summer in December and winter in June because of this. Short answer: In Earth no. Long answer : there are planets where something else plays a role : the change on axial tilt. E.g mars. In such cases, one...

Could Mars Sustain Earth-Like Life with Similar Size and Core?

If Mars had has the similar solid rock content with similar radioactive element amount as earth, that would keep the matle liquid, and that would make a similar magnetic field. I am ignoring local magnetic anomalies generated by solar wind on a planet without significant atmospher, like moon...

Mars rocks covered with uniformly thick dust layer?

that seems a bit of jumping to it, with all due respects. also the mineraloy site is supposed to be a general education site, and won't really contain interesting information.

Mars rocks covered with uniformly thick dust layer?

Thank you, I am aware of this :) I am actually looking for the campaign I specifically mentioned, because it used data from the top layer of the drill bore, which is generally rejected, as it is considered contaminated, however, some one found out the contamination was uniform.

Mars rocks covered with uniformly thick dust layer?

I realize that, and precisely that is what interested them. Moreover I remember it was not a layer of loos dust, it was a layer of *cemnted* dust, i use the term that we use to describe *sticking* of the same in earth, in top of the actual rock. The difference between the cemented laer and the...

Mars rocks covered with uniformly thick dust layer?

Hello all, I need your help. (I believe this si the correct forum) Between 2011 and 2013, i read a news in internet, that the dust that coveres rocks in Mars seem to be very uniform, like all rocks that was drilled by Mars science laboratory twin rovers, seem to have the same thickness of...
