How Can I Transition from IT to Industrial Automation?
I'd really like to get into soldering, and possibly making electronics. Would Comp E cover that or would I need EE?- sedna

How Can I Transition from IT to Industrial Automation?
lubuntu, Thanks for the input; my interest is generally in robotics and hardware programming. But software development I do not want anything to deal with. I've been told that Comp. Eng. is more geared towards what I 'want', but I need more input.- sedna

How Can I Transition from IT to Industrial Automation?
Well, There are two aspects of programming that I like: scripting, and hardware level programming (such as embedded and C). I also would like to be able to build hardware and program that hardware. I have been led to believe that Computer Engineering may be what I seek?- sedna

Physics Is being an astrophysicist a good idea?
KhemicalKarma: Astronomy is an extremely rewarding science, had to put that out there. My Astronomy teacher in college has a MS in Astrophysics (from MSU) and has had no problems finding work... That is teaching work. He teaches Astronomy and Physics at CC's around Michigan. Now big jobs such...- sedna

Is Changing My Major to a Science Discipline Practical?
When I started school (2-3 years ago) I thought the best field to get into would be the IT field. Few months later I get an IT job and it's "meh", then I get a better paying IT job and it is even more "meh". Long story short I cannot stand my classes and have grown to hate the IT field, hate...- sedna
