What are the applications of a transistor
yes, so i am using the piezo discs as a generator, converting mechanical to electrical energy. But the fact that it is a high impedance circuit is the problem i am facing. What i want to be able to do is maintain a good amount of voltage (at least 4 VDC) even with the load applied. Is there a...- shoes

What are the applications of a transistor
The source of the voltage is a ceramic piezoelectric disc, then the current is passed through a rectifier and converted to DC and stored in a capacitor. I have even gotten the VDC to reach 25 Volts without the load, but when the load is applied the voltage will plato at about 2 volts.- shoes

What are the applications of a transistor
We do have the voltage we want in our circuit before the load is applied. However, once the load is applied, the voltage drops and will not rise back up above a certain voltage (2 Volts). We want the voltage to be at least 4 volts- shoes

What are the applications of a transistor
Hello! I have done some research on transistors because I want to increase my current via increasing the voltage of a circuit in order to offset the increased load. As far as I understand, transistors can amplify (increase) voltage and current, as well as rectify (does this mean it can convert...- shoes

Solar panels and piezoelectric discs
I'm making a circuit using piezoelectric discs and i wanted to attach solar panels in parallel as well in order to increase amperes of the circuit. However, when put in conjunction the piezoelectric discs seem to have no effect on the circuit, when previously they had been contributing 5 or more...- shoes

Piezoelectric generator wiring question
I tried connecting the circuit with a 47 uF capacitor and it produced about 5-8-V AC (before going through the rectifier), then after going through the rectifier it produced about .016-.08 V DC. However, after the current was passed through the capacitor the voltmeter read 0-V DC. So the current...- shoes

Piezoelectric generator wiring question
PFmentor, I know the transformer is for the purpose of stepping down voltage, so as not to overload the cellphone batter and cause damage, however that is when high voltage is involved and since the average output for one compression of a piezo disc is roughly 2 AC which the rectifier would...- shoes

Piezoelectric generator wiring question
Hello, I am working on science fair project in which I am harvesting kinetic energy and converting it into electrical energy to charge an electrical device. However, i would appreciate another opinion on the setup of my circuit. Currently, my setup is as follows: I am using a piezoelectric...- shoes
