Tungsten Battery Anode: Charge & Experiments

I did not think the the temperature would change whether the tungsten would be oxidized or reduced, I thought it would change the voltage potential, and I wanted to see if charging the battery at a higher temperature, and discharging it at a lower temper would have effects on the battery overall...

Tungsten Battery Anode: Charge & Experiments

From what I learned the potential of a Copper tungsten cell of is 0.457v, did I do the math right? or no? also believe my previous hypothesis is incorrect, as tungsten's oxidation potential would be increased at higher temperatures and it's reduction potential would be increased at lower...

Tungsten Battery Anode: Charge & Experiments

I was reading that tungsten's redox potential was influenced by temperature and was wanting to see if you could charge the battery at high temperature to charge the tungsten with electrons, then discharge the battery at a lower temperature, and was wondering what the cheapest...

Tungsten Battery Anode: Charge & Experiments

Does anyone know if a tungsten-/copper+ saltwater battery have any significant charge if any? Willing to experiment myself, but don't want to waste money without asking first

The Possibility of Value in Amalgam Alloys of Gold, Copper and Silver

Does anyone have any handling and procedural tips if I were to attempt to make a mercury/electrum amalgam myself to test its properties?

The Possibility of Value in Amalgam Alloys of Gold, Copper and Silver

Should this post perhaps be moved to electrical engineering?

The Possibility of Value in Amalgam Alloys of Gold, Copper and Silver

yes I was wondering if the alloy of Hg, Au, Ag, and Cu would be significant conductive wire/or solder in comparison to the individual metals themselves, and if the alloy would be any less prone to oxidation than the individual metals. And wondering if the tensil strength of the alloy would be...

The Possibility of Value in Amalgam Alloys of Gold, Copper and Silver

Would using mercury to form amalgam alloys combining gold, copper, and silver have any electronic value? Has this amalgam ever been made and tested in conductivity and Malleability? Or would it just be an expensive filling?

Writing: Input Wanted Blood Moon (Concept): Discovering Ferron & Terrelectra

oh lol yes, red Hematite. Yes, sanguis would probably have an unstable orbit, because of the proximity of the larger body, a widening elliptical orbit, and the possible "yank" out or orbit, is a threat to consider.

Writing: Input Wanted Blood Moon (Concept): Discovering Ferron & Terrelectra

they are more fascinated with its existence, and send an initial exploration crew to study it and decide what to do, abandon the solar system they were assigned to? Gather resources? Leave a small group of colonists willing to stay? All points would be brought up, with opinions on both sides...

Writing: Input Wanted Blood Moon (Concept): Discovering Ferron & Terrelectra

is another concept that may change, because it seems very unlikely, I just like the concept of having the efficiency of a machine combined with human elements of decision making, skill, curiosity etc.

Writing: Input Wanted Blood Moon (Concept): Discovering Ferron & Terrelectra

I was thinking of having a system that's fast as /faster than life, but it can't run continuously, only making jumps before the energy core has to be replaced, and having cyborg clone engineers who do maintenance to the engine as well as checks surrounding space for safe jump calculations.

Could an Interstellar Gas Planet Heat its Moon Without Fusion Ignition?

Yeah I've been more concerned with mass over size, but I think I'm just going to read more and eventually figure out what I'm going to have to smudge like all science fiction does,

Writing: Input Wanted Blood Moon (Concept): Discovering Ferron & Terrelectra

is all input answers to a question? Can't some imput be ideas shared without questions asked? I have many questions to ask, but where to start? This is a new project and in mostly trying to get opinions and information regarding plausibility, possibility, and commentary on what can be done to...

Could an Interstellar Gas Planet Heat its Moon Without Fusion Ignition?

thank you, this is very helpful information, I read that only there is only a 6% possibility of rogue planets that have been ejected to keep a moon, but I was also reading that there is a mass requirement to be a brown dwarf, so I was calling it a sub brown dwarf/ rogue planet, was also hoping...
