Probability of Winning Game for A, B, and C
Thanks. This is my attempt to solve the b question: The probability that A picks the white ball at: the 1st round: 1/5 the 2nd round: (4/5)3.(1/5) the 3rd round: (4/5)6.(1/5) the 4th round: (4/5)9.(1/5) ............ ............ the n-th round: (4/5)3n.(1/5) Therefore, the probability that B...- stephenranger

Calculating Probability for a Game of Picking White Balls: Three Players
Thanks for your suggestion. So, the probability that A picks the white ball at: the 1st round: 1/5 the 2nd round: (4/5)3.(1/5) the 3rd round: (4/5)6.(1/5) the 4th round: (4/5)9.(1/5) ............ ............ the n-th round: (4/5)3n.(1/5) Therefore: ∑(4/5)3n.(1/5) when n runs from 0 → ∞ ≈ 0.32- stephenranger

Calculating Probability for a Game of Picking White Balls: Three Players
Oh yeah. I'm sorry because posting in the precalculus mathematics, no one gives me a decent answer and otherwise this problem is supposed to be beyond pre-calculus mathematics, right?- stephenranger

Calculating Probability for a Game of Picking White Balls: Three Players
Homework Statement Three friends play a game in which one picks blind–folded from a bag containing white and black balls. In the bag there are four black balls and one white ball. The player whose turn it is picks one ball. If the ball is white the player has won; otherwise the ball is returned...- stephenranger

Probability of Winning Game for A, B, and C
I'm asking people to check if my solutions is correct, especially my solution for the first question. Why do you have to edit? the first question is ''What is the probability that the game ends before any of the players has picked twice?". That means that you have to find the probability that...- stephenranger

Understanding Acceleration Formulas: Instantaneous vs Average
Yes. Could you tell me in what phenomenon will the acceleration be an equation of time, a = a(t) ? and when I take its derivative da(t)/dt, what does da(t)/dt stand for ? I ask that out of my curiosity.- stephenranger

Understanding Acceleration Formulas: Instantaneous vs Average
Come on sir. I need multiple viewpoints to have a good comparison. Your phrase: gives me an idea that when acceleration is an equation of time it becomes instantaneous acceleration. Is that correct ?- stephenranger

Understanding Acceleration Formulas: Instantaneous vs Average
Yes sir. if the acceleration is varying linearly with time, that means that it's no longer constant, right ? the changing acceleration is not taught in high school physics, so aav = Δv/Δt is enough for me.- stephenranger

Understanding Acceleration Formulas: Instantaneous vs Average
Yes. I have a typo, sorry. What's about this: the acceleration "a" in these equations is instantaneous or average acceleration or both like Chestermiller said ?- stephenranger

Understanding Acceleration Formulas: Instantaneous vs Average
Homework Statement This is not a homework, just my understanding problem. Homework Equations We know that average acceleration can be calculated by: aav=Δs/Δt Is this formula also correct: aav=0.5(afi+ain) ?? One more question is: in the formulas: s = v0t + 0.5at2 and vfi = vin + at and...- stephenranger
