Need Help with Calculus Project by Monday or I'm Fired!

Either whoever interviewed you is incompetent for not asking if you were qualified in a key criterion of the job, or you have covered up your own lack of expertise at the interview. Either way, the unfortunate consequence is that a more qualified applicant has probably missed out on the...

How to Calculate the Integral of e^{1/x}dx?

What is the context of this integral? Why do you need to figure it out? (It is straightforward to use Liouville's thereom to prove that the indefinite integral of e^{1/x} is non-elementary, that is, cannot be expressed in finite terms of elementary functions).

Elliptic integral and pseudo-elliptic integral from Wikipedia.

OK, the integral is correct, the derivative of it gives the correct integrand - I made a data entry error with WolframAlpha (1001 instead of 10001). But I still don't get HOW they constructed these two examples - how thay knew that 71 would work but 72 would not work. I believe it has...

Elliptic integral and pseudo-elliptic integral from Wikipedia.

    Hi all. I was reading this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risch_algorithm I have a couple of questions about \int \frac{x}{\sqrt{x^4 + 10x^2 - 96x - 71}} \, dx and \int \frac{x}{\sqrt{x^4 + 10x^2 - 96x - 72}} \, dx discussed in the article. How the heck did they get the...

    Integrating the Unsolvable: $\int x^xdx$

Great link. Thanks for that. I guess all that's left is to prove that it is indeed a non-elementary integral.

    Integrating the Unsolvable: $\int x^xdx$

I'm interested in how this modification can be done. I've had a go at it without much luck.
