MATLAB help, code for Frobenius norm
Hello, I am trying to write a mtlab code to compute Frobenius norm of an mxn matrix A. defined by ||A||_{F} = \sqrt{ \sum_{i=1}^m \sum_{j=1}^n a^{2}_{i,j}} I have so far written this code, but it does not work, if anyone can help /guide me to the right path, would be greatly...- tweety1234

Calculate Work of Expansion in Chemical Reaction | 100 cm2 Container
Homework Statement A chemical reaction takes place in a container of cross-sectional area 100 cm2. The container has a loosely fitting piston at one end. As a result of the reaction, then piston is pushed out by 10 cm against an external pressure of 101.3 kPa. Calculate the work of expansion...- tweety1234

Why Is the Total Area for Calculating Heat Loss 320 Square Feet?
Homework Statement Calculate wall loss rate in BTUs per hour. For a 10 ft by 10 ft room with an 8 ft ceiling, with all surfaces insulated to R19 as recommended by the U.S. Department of Energy, with inside temperature 68°F and outside temperature 28°F: heat loss = \frac{Q}{t} = \frac{(Area)...- tweety1234

How much heat is needed for converting 7 kg of ice to steam?
you go from solid to liquid to gas, so you have to calculate the heat for each stage than add up the total of each stage. I think, also, for the vaporization you would use Q =ml where L = latent heat of vaporization.. and Q=ml again for latent heat of fusion/melting I think that's how you do it...- tweety1234

Calculating Pressure and Steam Jet Velocity in a Boiling Pot
Homework Statement A large pot of water is boiling on the stove. The pot has a heavy, close tting lid which has a small hole to allow steam to escape, so that the lid does not lift up from the pot. However, if too much steam is produced to escape through the hole, the lid will lift to release...- tweety1234
