Hi tirrel,
As the Hartree-Fock method is a method for the determination of the ground-state wave function and ground-state energy of a quantum many-body system, basically it is suitable for calculating the ground-state wave-function of a Fermi-liquid.
Take a look at this article...
Thanks for your help JesseM!
It was my thoughtlessness...
Clearly, I can't make use of a theory based on postulates, if I try to answer something which does not obey them. My question was illogical, I'm sorry.

Hi All,
I am a bit confused about reference frames and inertial frames.
According to the first postulate of special relativity (if I'm right), all physical laws take their simplest form in an inertial frame, and there exist multiple inertial frames interrelated by uniform translation...
This is true. But mainly for early Java, as you wrote. I don't think, however that mathematical libraries have been implemented in Java in great number:(
By the way, NAG (and I guess some other) libraries can be called from Java code. I don't know how efficiently, though.
Hi All,
I am a physicist from Hungary. I was involved in quite a few programming tasks back in the university, especially in the field of Density Functional Theory, which needed complex computations. I used Fortran and later C++, for Object Oriented programming gave quite a few advantages...
Hi all,
I was thinking about continuing my studies in physics. I read through the docs about IMEC's PhD topics and I found the list quite impressive and interesting. I have masters in physics and I took the GRE general, so I guess I fulfill some of the requirements... (Well, at least...
