Radiation Detection: Filter Electrons Out
If I were to design a radiation detector to detect electron radiations , but in the process proton ,alpha and beta radiations are also being detected , then how can I implement a filtering technique to filter the rest out? Mass based filtering can be used i suppose?- zd1899

Balance condition for inductor bridge
1. A Wheat stone bridge resembling setup is given with two parallel branches , the 1st containing an Inductor of Inductance L1 and resistance R1 in series with a resistor R2. The second branch consists of inductor with inductance L2 and resistance R3 in series with a resistor R4. The branches...- zd1899

Can You Solve \(\tan(2x) - \cot(3x) = 0\) for \(0 \leq x < 2\pi\)?
[tan(2x) * tan(3x) - 1]/ tan(3x)=0 -[tan(2x)+ tan(3x) / tan(5x)tan(3x)]=0 tan(2x)=-tan(3x) following this: tan(a+b) = tan(a) + tan (b) / 1-tan(a)tan(b) tan(a)tan(b)-1 = 1[ tan(a)+ tan(b)/ tan(a+b)] And If i am wrong somewhere correct me.- zd1899

Graduate Understanding Magnetism in Different Reference Frames
What if i was traveling in a car with an e- with me. W.r.t to a positive charge at rest , it would seem accelerating to me i.e. it would have a magnetic field but acc. to a person on the ground it would just have an electric field. If there were a car moving relative to me , the person would...- zd1899

Undergrad Will Two Identical Spherical Cavities in Free Space Attract or Repel Each Other?
Hey! I just found out that its an ex Physics olympiad problem. The dust configuration remains constant , won't move in. So we can do this using the potential energy concept for the sphere's i.e. they would try and reduce their respective energies.- zd1899

Force on Loop Due to Infinite Wire?
@ rl.bhat why 0 to pi?? why not o to 2pi? @alphysicist yes i took it from the left actually and after pi/2 cos which change the sign as it will be pi-theta.- zd1899

Yes , they are simply voids. The Dust particles are distributed uniformly and there are two nearby spherical voids.- zd1899

Can You Solve \(\tan(2x) - \cot(3x) = 0\) for \(0 \leq x < 2\pi\)?
we knw tan(A+B)=tanA+ tanB/ 1-tanAtanB hence tanAtanB-1= -(tan A+tanB/tan(A+B)) tan2xtan3x-1/tan3x= -tan2x -tan3x / tan5x hence solutions can be generated from tan2x=-tan3x. hope u knw the general formula for the solns of that. and rejecting all solns where tan5x=0. :)- zd1899

Force on Loop Due to Infinite Wire?
Thats the main trouble , i am not able to find a way to get the dependence of B on $ because B is just dependent on distance from the wire. And i have already judged the directions , its the magnitude that bothers me.- zd1899
