Hi. What's a standard reference for physcists concerning the topic of fluid dynamics or computational FD.

G. K. Batchelor "An Introduction to Fluid Dynamics", and Landau and Lif****z Vol. 6 are the ones that I am used to. Also, Sommerfeld wrote a good old-school book on hydrodynamics where he treats a lot of cute problems like smoke rings and whatnot.

computational fluid dynamics... sorry, I don't know.

I've used those and D. Acheson's "Elementary Fluid Dynamics" and T. Faber's "Fluid dynamics for physicists".
As for CFD, the course at my uni recommends "Numerical Methods in Fluid Dynamics" by M. Holt, "Computational Techniques for Fluid Dynamics" by C. A. Fletcher and "Computational Fluid Dynamics, An Introduction" by J. F. Wendt
PS: It's outrageous that we can't say L-i-f-s-h-i-t-z!
