We're in the middle of a heavy snow right now, and we're supposed to end up with a total accumulation of 15 - 25 cm ( 6 - 10 inches).

I miss snow.........I gotta get out of this semi-southern place and get back up north where they have actual winters.

We had snow (~ 2 inches/5 cm) mixed with rain last night. I prefer the dry (cold) powdery stuff.
We're in the middle of a heavy snow right now, and we're supposed to end up with a total accumulation of 15 - 25 cm ( 6 - 10 inches).I'm sending it your way, George. We've already got nearly 10 inches and it's still coming down. We're in the foothills in central Maine, and these storms are always a crap-shoot for us.
We had snow (~ 2 inches/5 cm) mixed with rain last night. I prefer the dry (cold) powdery stuff. We've had around 4' of the stuff so far, but a torrential rain knocked that down a bit. We've got another storm bearing down at us for tomorrow night - likely another 10" or more. The snow has been a boon to the people in the snowmobile-tourism business.

I guess this is the storm George mentioned.
Intense snowstorm heads for New England - CNN, Jan 2, 2008
Farther east, the weather system spread snow across upstate New York and northern New England, where it was expected to last into Wednesday and drop as much as a foot of snow on parts of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
It followed a storm in the Northeast on Monday that made for the snowiest December in the region in decades. December's snowfall at Concord, New Hampshire, totaled 44.5 inches, toppling a record of 43 inches that had stood since 1876. Burlington, Vermont, got 45.7 inches, far above its 17.2-inch December average, and Portland, Maine, amassed 37.7 inches for its third-snowiest December on record.
It started snowing yesterday afternoon, and it seems to be done for now, with thinning clouds. Got another 12" or more to take care of. I'm putting it off, drinking coffee, and tending the wood stove, but it looks like another 4-6 hours with the roof rake, shovel, scoop and snow-blower. This is the snowiest start of winter in more than a decade. Every couple of days, we get more snow.
Ho humm First day back to work. Pretty snowy.
