Although i do understand how current is same in electrical components in series.. but why does the voltage remain constant in parallel?

Also since voltage remains constant in parallel, is that the reason change in voltage is generally chosen as the signal in digital circuits?

Kirchhoff's Voltage/Loop Rule (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirchhoff's_circuit_laws#Kirchhoff.27s_Voltage_Law _.28KVL.29), which is a direct result of conservation of charge.
