Which book would you take with you to an isolated island, and why?

Option 1) Playboy Almanac. For obvious reasons... :P

Option 2) A very old dictionary I have which is thousands of very large pages. That much paper would be useful.

Option 3) A very large blank journal. Recording my own thoughts would be far better than reading the same crap from someone else again and again.

I'd take a book on how to build a boat. Other than that I'd probably take a dictionary in hopes of leaving the island with the greatest vocabulary ever.

A dictionary sounds...interesting. Instead of one about a boat, how about one that teaches swimming?

Do you mean you're marooned there, or just taking time off away from humanity?

Hardcover stuff. So you can build things out of them.
